Hi! I’m your admissions counselor, Mary. Here’s a little bit about me and what I enjoy most about UNH. I look forward to working with you!
Where is your favorite place on campus?
The Fishbowl (the lawn in front of Scott Hall) is my favorite place on campus. When the weather is nice, it's full of students enjoying being outside. It's a good place to have lunch, throw a frisbee or sit in an Adirondack chair and read.
What’s your favorite thing to eat on campus?
The breakfast burritos from The Works Cafe.
Favorite memory at UNH?
Freshman year in Williamson Hall. I had the very best time at UNH as an undergrad. I made lifelong friends on the 5th floor of Williamson. There is something special about having freshman live together as they are starting their college journey. Everyone is in the same boat, so you bond quickly. It was a great experience.
What makes UNH so special?
No matter what you are looking for, you will be able to find your community at UNH. This allows for a close-knit campus where you can be yourself and feel at home.
What’s your favorite UNH tradition?
Pat the Cat. I still rub his nose when I need a little luck!
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Durham, CT. I went from Durham, CT to Durham, NH!
What college did you attend/degree earned?
I am a proud UNH alum with a Bachelor of Arts in History.
Family/pets?
My husband Jake and I have a son, Oliver. We also have two not-so-well-behaved cats, Winston and Simon.
Do you have any hidden talents?
I love to draw and I am learning calligraphy.
Any fun facts about yourself?
I am in love with red pandas and would very much like one as a pet. Sadly, it's not allowed....yet.
What’s the coolest thing you’ve ever done in your life?
I used to be a Kindergarten teacher.
